The Answer

Why do you haunt me?
In the mists of my unconscious mind.
Why do you come to me?
After so many years of forgetting you.

    Why do you remember me?
    For life together was so short.
    How did you find me?
    Though walking through the veil sees all.

      Where do you guide me?
      As it's so unclear of your path.
      What do you have for me?
      Night after night, I search.

        Was death the way to find me?
        Our love was once strong.
        Did you pause and look back for me?
        I was in the distance.

          You could finally see me!
          and knew that all along.
          Life kept us apart,
          Death hold's us Forever.
