One of my favorite spots to have visited, I will tell you now that I got the find of my Life. Pictured on your right is the photo I captured of -believed to be- Sarah Winchester's Ghost. We were in Sarah's Seance room with our group. Our guide then took us through a "Mock" door. This was to fool her servants. This room was bare, with nothing in it. The guide told us that this room never was finished because she died, and therefore her worker's didn't want to stay on without pay. My husband and I stayed behind as I had this cold chill come over me so I snapped the picture. All of the pictures in the house taken before this one and after it, came out clear. I can clearly see a face. Below it, is a picture of Sarah herself. Compare, what do you see? There are also many smaller Orbs among the mist itself. I received this from Rob and Anne Wlodarski, Parapsychologists with The Shadowlands, they wrote; "Your photo is really interesting... Perhaps "Sarah" was just letting you know that she is still a force to be reckoned with, even in the afterlife... There is every reason to assume that after passing out of the physical plane of existence, she is in a much better position to keep tabs on the spirit world she was trying so hard to evade in life. A lot less building and hiding, but still in charge of "her" house!" I've also Received Confirmation from Anne Palagruto, Founder of Ghosts and Hauntings Society and Dave Juliano, Director of The Shadowlands: Ghosts and Hauntings Yes, Sarah didn't want me there and is indeed, in charge of her house! The Guide also told us that during a filming for the Discovery channel, that a shadow went across the window of Sarah's Room. Pictured Below But there is only one small catch.... The Shadow went across the Outside of the 3 story window!! 02/02/02 -As I was just editing this page, I discovered another face in the ghost picture I took of Sarah. Looking at the full picture you can see it more clearly but I have circled both of the faces for you so get a better image. I got the most sickening feeling in the pit of my stomach, as it almost looks like small girl's face -half gone. I'll let you decide!
![]() Now here are some facts about the house to go with the pictures. The house has 160 rooms, (40 are bedrooms)5 kitchens,2 ballrooms, 2 basements, 1,257 windows, 950 doors not including cabinets, 47 fireplaces, 17 chimneys with evidence of 2 others and 40 stair cases. It had 7 stories prior to the 1906 earthquake, but presently has 4. It originally had aprox. 162 acres but now has 4. It took over 20,000 gallons of paint to paint it and Mrs. Winchester never had a master set of blueprints, but did sketch out individual rooms on paper and even tablecloths! She built a stair case and several doors going Nowhere, (pictured above -right) |
